Ole Ole Bali!

Just got back from my splendid 5d4n Bali vacation on Monday.

Transferred both 1000+ pictures and videos last night and like every vacation before this, it just made me miss the place ever more so dearly.

It's safe to say it was by far the best beach vacation (excluding family vacays) mostly credited to the impeccable service @ the accommodation picked!

I can't rave about the place enough.

The moment i stepped foot in the resort, the term "breathtaking" took on a whole new meaning for me.

Stoichio & Trigo Overdose

Just got back from a 1-night weekend getaway to Philea Resort & Spa, Malacca.

The place is beautiful! Perfect for a serene break from the city (what more with Bersih2.0 happening yesterday)

Felt so guilty of having so much fun there I came back and went straight to my books!

Ok, I lied. I took a 2 hour nap, had dinner and a whole lot of other sh*t first before that.

It's 1am now and I've obviously had too much to sleep because all that calculus & stoichiometry didn't do its magic of knocking me out like how it always has.

SO to kill time, I made a gif with this bunch of silly pictures I took in August last year.

Losing readers of the opposite sex right about.. NOW.

after a week of sexing with my books, I'm finally done with my computer programming (C++) paper yesterday morning! oh, the joy.

Going to have 20- odd days of holiday till the next sem; but still with SAT tuition on weekends (ugh).

Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Now, what the heck am I going to do for the next 3 weeks??

Beauty Haul #2: YSL

Before I lugged my bum back to KL this time around,

I made a trip down to DFS @ Orchard to finally get the YSL cosmetics I've been dying to try.

I've heard really good reviews about their lipsticks especially- they really ARE amazing. But we will get to that later.

Also, since I needed to pick out a birthday gift for my lady friend- hope you love your gift(s)!

Is it just me or YSL cosmetics aren't available in KL anymore? Cause I swear I used to see it around so much! Now, it's like they all just evaporated :S

Not to mention it was also MAD hard to find for a store in Singapore!

So this was what I came back with.

Yea, think I got a little carried away. Maybe just a little. /facepalm

But but but, the 3 pink lotions and mirrors (those flat things in front) came for free!

Shall start off with the lipsticks!

Got 2 colours from the Fard A Levres Rouge Pur range- #141 in Pink Satin & #144 in Silky Apricot.

I love love love these 2 lipsticks and I have been abusing my #144 everyday!

It instantly brightens up my face me thinks.

Though, the only thing I don't like about this range is the packaging. It's really light and it feels really cheap to the touch. Pfft.

Cheap plastic material used. Not to mention it gets scratched really easily. Let's not talk about the condition my both my lipsticks, exterior wise. sigh

I got the Rouge Volupte range lipsticks in 3 different colours- #1 in Nude Beige, #4 in Sweet Honey & #30 (don't know the name of the colour because apparently according to the sales auntie it's discontinued so it's not in the website either).

Well, I haven't been using this range much, only once each colour.

#1 in Nude Beige is actually pinkish whereas #4 in Sweet Honey is more of a brownish nude colour. #30 is of a darker pink tone, which I find too pink for my taste, wasted.

One thing I noticed about YSL lipsticks is that they are very very rich (especially the Rouge Volupte range)- I would suggest you use a lip brush upon application instead of direct application or you'll just end up caking the lipstick on.

The packaging of this range on the other hand is fabulous! It even comes with a tiny mirror on the top of the lipstick cover so you don't have to whip out your mirror to check after touch ups! :D

I got all 3 Touche Blushes for free! Value not value not? ;D

They're the miniature ones though. You can purchase these in 3, inflight/ in airports as well.

So far I've only tried #1 in Rose, beats my Laura Mercier blush anytime! Muchos more pigmented.

Have yet to give the #2 in Coral & #16 in _(not in the website as well)_ a go.

#16 is more of a glittery blush. I have an ongoing hatred towards glitter, somehow.

Think with the wrong usage, it'll make you look tacky. But that's just my opinion.

Moving on!

THIS is by far the BEST wake up eye care product EVER.

Yes, it deserves all the emphasis it can get.

Your eyes literally feels the "lift" after application! No more heavy morning lids!

Some more I randomly bought just to try out their Top Secret skincare range.

Good buy good buy. Though a tad bit pricey and it finishes pretty fast :(

(ok I have no idea why this is underlined and I have no clue how to alter the HTML codes to get rid of this.zzz)

This is one of their star products. A must have if I may say so myself- Touche Eclat.

It doubles as a concealer and a highlighter.

I've used similar products like this previously, from Chanel but I've got to give it to the YSL one.

I know I sound damn biased now, but I swear I'm not! (though it'll be nice if YSL were to pay me, raving so much. hehe)

The Chanel one tends to pick up this unpleasant smell after a while :S

The YSL counter in DFS only carried this in 2 shades but there's 5 different ones in the website.

I got this in the twin pack in No.2 Luminous Ivory so that Ms Chin can try it too! heh

I've been using this for all my highlights.

Well that's about all the products I got.

I have to say, I can't wait to try the rest of their products out especially the other lipstick ranges (mind the lipstick whore -_-) and their Top Secret skincare range!

Picked up this sea salt body scrub from Sasa last week just cause it has flying cow cartoons on it.

It was only about RM20++ and it smelt good at that time, now it's just giving me a headache.

I also bought it because it has funky english instructions :D

I have dry humor.

think its meant for people with dry skin?

just do as you wish with it

my verdict? nah, save that RM20 and buy eyelashes instead.

So it seems like every girl in the world (some boy/ men too) won't be seen outside their homes without contact lenses- okay I'm exaggerating.

Now, contact lenses aren't just to replace glasses, but used to enhance one's aesthetics.

Not only does it change the colour of your iris but also to enlarge the size of it (up to 17mm in diameter! :S)

the 17mm ones are a little crazy though, imo.

So now everyone can haz big "chio" eyes.

Anyhoo, I finally decided to jump into this lens craze and ordered myself 7 pairs in different types! Aiya, no harm in trying. I'm a curious curious girl.

Doubt I'll wear em everyday.

All in either brown/ grey. No funky monkey colours like, ahem, blue. So unnatural for asians.

The ones I got are:

So far I've only tried the MX-21 in brown yesterday and the CM901 World in grey today.

MX-21 was rather uncomfortable, irritated my left eye the entire day and it looked black more than brown.

No complains on the CM901 so far besides the fact it looks nothing like how it did in the picture.

Invites to the event held @ Avenue K, KL were given by Mr Aw and was asked to attend on his behalf.

Plus, I figured why not since I got to bring a + 1 to go smack some flies together. Of course I dragged my best friend, MaxterJonesThai. (hey, he enjoyed himself aight. no regrets in following me. i hope)

Thanks to my amnesia I barely remember details of the event and what not. So bare with me.

What I remember is, we got lost on the way. What's new really. We ALWAYS get lost in the city.

It's like protocol or something. zz

Finally got there and registered with the pretty beamer models at the registration booth.

was then ushered to the "comfort zone" on the upper deck filled with comfy sofas and of course a huge bar. Free flow of cocktails and wine. Mmm...

Not only were there the sexy X1(s) as eye candy for that evening.

They had masseuses (by Origins) ready to give you hand massages and also an Aura-teller (?).

They read your "Auras" (and try to con you! just saying)

All complimentary for that evening.

After a drink or two, we adjourned to the Bang & Olufsen lounge they had on the lower ground.

What is B & O? It's only the mother of all audio-systems! The quality is just simply outstanding. They have a branch in Bangsar Village II, so you guys can just head on down there to experience and discover B & O.

No regrets for sure! ;)

Finger food and drinks were served while you take some time to chill at the lounge or while you're browsing through Leica cameras at their booth, like me.

You see, I was supposed to borrow JingXiu's Canon but I was in a rush so I left it on the piano top.

Sucks that I couldn't take any pictures for that night.
